Security information confirmed the killing of the commander of an opposing commander from the town of Korin in the countryside of Jericho, in the southern sector of the countryside Idlib, after his arrest for more than two years on charges of "communicating with the army of the rebels" by Tahrir Al Sahm extremist militia.

Areas in the western countryside of Jisr Al-Shughur city were shelled by the regime forces, in conjunction with targeting areas in the outskirts of Bdama in the same countryside, no information about casualties. A mortar shell landed on al-Tadamon neighborhood south of the capital, no information about casualties.
Warplanes (whose identity was not known whether they belong to the International Coalition or Russian warplanes) targeted at the dawn of Thursday the 17th of August 2017 the media point of the “Islamic State” organization at al-Masriyyah roundabout in al-Bokamal city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The SOHR learned that the explosions were caused by airstrikes carried out by warplanes, whether Russian or affiliated with the International Coalition is unknown, on Islamic Sharia Secondary school in the city and destroyed huge parts of it. No casualties were reported. A plane, believed to be a drone, shelled yesterday afternoon a car in which ISIS members were travelling in Al-Corniche Street in Al-Mayadin city, causing the death of 3 ISIS members.
