The Ministry of Health
Manama - Muslimchronicle

The Ministry of Health said that all facilities reporting to it (hospitals and health centres) offer their services in accordance with the highest of standards, across the Kingdom, within its mandate and mission to ensure the availability of high quality healthcare service to all citizens and residents .
“There are no obstacles that hinder any citizen or resident from accessing these services, or prevent them from receiving any kind of healthcare services. The ministry’s network of healthcare facilities, both governmental and private, is available across all governorates of the Kingdom, and offer their services round-the-clock,” a statement by the ministry said.
“The Ministry of Health has been following up on what some media outlets have been circulating concerning the health condition of Mr. Isa Qassim, and the false claims that he has been denied access to healthcare and health services in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The ministry would like to confirm that it is aware of his health condition and is closely following its updates,” the statement added.
“The ministry would like to point out that on Sunday evening, 26 November 2017, upon the request of a relative of Mr. Qassim’s, Dr. Jassim Hassan Al Dirazi and Dr. Mohammed Hassan Al Dirazi visited Mr. Qassim at his home in the village of Diraz. The ministry made all the necessary arrangements for both doctors to reach Mr. Qassim’s home and examine him, without any obstacles whatsoever.
“On Wednesday morning, 29 November 2017, a medical team accompanied by an ambulance service was called to transfer Mr. Qassim to the hospital for treatment. However, Mr. Qassim’s relatives refused the transfer and asked to delay it at that time, stating that his health condition did not require hospital treatment. Furthermore, based on a request by his relatives, Dr. Mohammed Hassan Al Dirazi visited Mr. Qassim’s home again yesterday evening. After examination, Dr. Al Dirazi issued a prescription for treatment.
“The Ministry of Health emphasises that it would under no circumstance delay offering its services when requested by patients or their relatives, and that it always offers its high-quality services round the clock, to all citizens and residents. Moreover, the Ministry of Health spares no effort in providing healthcare services to all who request or deserve it, since the ministry considers this to be at the core of its mission. The mission is humanitarian, and is applied readily without any discrimination. It makes sure that all health conditions receive the proper treatment and all patients have the right to healthcare and treatment,” the Health Ministry’s statement also read.
