Cairo – Akram Ali

Cairo International Airport Authorities put on hold a parcel of nearly 3kg which was sent from the Saudi citizen Khalid al-Ghamri to the former Egyptian president Mohammed Hosni Mubarak. Sources from the airport said that the sender wrote on the parcel: \"Sent to the President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak,\" which urged the authorities to put it on hold, according to the Public Prosecution\'s procedures on the ousted president’s mail. Official sources from the customers’ service mentioned that \"the parcel won’t be opened, and contents have not been identified, as the Public Prosecution will take care of that,\" adding that \"it looks like the package contains papers or documents\". The customers’ service authorities have decided to put on hold three other parcels, including medicines, that were originally sent to the Egyptian runaway businessman Hussein Salem, and were released two days later by the airport\'s customers service after someone changed the consignee’s name.
