Egyptian Tourism Minister Yehia Rashed
London - Arab Today

Egyptian Tourism Minister Yehia Rashed said Monday that all the security measures have been taken to secure the Egyptian airports not only Sharm el Sheikh Airport, stressing that Egypt is more secure than many tourist countries.

In a press conference held on the sidelines of his participation in the World Travel Market (WTM) exhibition organized here, Rashed said that Egypt is ready to receive tourist trips from Britain to Sharm el Sheikh at any time.

The most up-to-date equipment and surveillance cameras are being used to secure airports, the minister underscored, adding that there is a British firm that trains security personnel in the airports.

Rashed reiterated that the British media welcomes resuming the tourist trips to Sharm el Sheikh, noting that this matter is profitable for both sides.

He further underlined that he respects the decision of the British government, saying that the British tourists are welcomed once more in Sharm el Sheikh.

For his part, the Egyptian Ambassador here Nasser Kamel said that the Egyptian and British cabinets agreed on implementing a joint work plan to secure all the Egyptian airports.
