The head of the Lower House's Foreign Affairs Committee said Tuesday that Israel's occupation is "the incubator" of terrorism and radicalism, stressing the need to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.
MP Bassam Manaseer also told a French parliamentary team that a lack of international backbone to solve the issue, and the "absence" of democracy and human rights had led terrorist organisations to expand.
He said Jordan and France saw eye to eye on the issues of the Middle East, urging France to use its clout at world forums to solve the region's crises and pressure Israel to return to the negotiating table to reach a settlement "that satisfies all of the parties".
The MP spoke about efforts exerted by Jordan to deal with the waves of refugees and the pressure they place on the sectors of education, health and labour market, adding that the Kingdom needs international help to carry out this humanitarian undertaking.
