
Minister Delegate to the Interior minister, Cherki Drais, held talks here on Thursday with British Minister of State for Security at the Home Office Ben Wallace.
Talks focused on various security issues as well as the means to strengthen bilateral cooperation particularly in the fight against terrorism, organized crime and cybercrime.
During the meeting, the two sides underlined the excellent relations between the two countries thanks to the privileged links between HM King Mohammed VI and HM Queen Elizabeth II.
The British official hailed Morocco’s efforts to strengthen counter-terrorism mechanisms, including through the Global Counterterrorism Forum, and praised the measures taken by Moroccan authorities to ensure the safety and security of British tourists in the kingdom.
In his turn, Drais said that upon High Royal instructions, Morocco has consistently worked to ensure the security of Moroccan citizens and foreigners in the kingdom.
At the end of the meeting, the two officials expressed their willingness to work closely to further develop security cooperation between Morocco and Great Britain.
