Saudi king receives United States congress delegation

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud received at Al-Yamamah palace here Monday a delegation from the United States Congress headed by Senator Benjamin Cardin.

The US Congress delegation's members included Democratic Senator of Massachusetts Edward Markey, Democratic senator of Oregon, Jeff Merkley and Republican Senator of Colorado Cory Gardner according to Saudi Press Agency on Monday.

During the meeting, they reviewed the relations of friendship between Saudi Arabia and the US as well as the prospects for cooperation between the two countries.

The get-together was attended by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister, Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Musaed bin Mohammed al Aiban, Minister of Culture and Information Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi and Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed al Jubeir.
