President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday had talks with President Omar el Bashir upon his arrival here to take part the final session of Sudan's National Dialogue Conference.
The two leaders affirmed the depth of relations binding the two countries and underlined the importance of following up the outcome of the joint Egyptian-Sudanese Higher Committee that was held last week in Cairo at the presidential level for the first time, said Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Alaa Youssef.
The two sides also discussed the outcome of the Sudan National Dialogue Conference.
Sisi asserted Egypt's support to all efforts exerted by the Sudanese president to unite ranks and achieve peace and stability in Sudan.
Chadian President Idrib Deby and his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni later joined the meeting which probed the latest developments in Africa and efforts exerted to realize peace and stability in the black continent, added the spokesman.
Talks also covered a set of issues and challenges facing the African countries, the spokesman explained, noting that the leaders agreed on beefing up coordination in the coming phase to bolster African efforts aimed at standing against current challenges.
Sisi was given a red-carpet reception upon his arrival at Khartoum International Airport and he was welcomed by Sudanese President Omar el Bashir.
