UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh, Saeed bin Hajar Al Shehi, has discussed with Bangladesh's Minister of State of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Nasrul Hamid, ways to enhance co-operation between the two countries, especially in renewable energy projects and ways to ease the access of Emirati investments in this sector.
Al Shehi confirmed the UAE's keenness on enhancing relations with Bangladesh in the investment and economic fields in the best interests of the two countries.
Hamid emphasised his country's need to receive the UAE’s investments in a number of energy fields. He also stressed that his country works to open up more sectors before the UAE companies which aim to invest in Bangladesh, stressing that this would enhance friendship between the two peoples and in their interest.
The Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), delegation attended the meeting held at the minister's office in the ministry.
