The Libyan Navy seized three boats carrying 600 illegal migrants of different nationalities off coast of Sabratha city in northwestern Libya while trying to reach Europe, Navy spokesman Colonel Ayoub Kasem said on Sunday.
The coast guard of the Libyan naval forces used two oil refinery ships to get the migrants out of the boats and move them to Zawia oil port, he added.
About 60 women were among the migrants heading for Europe, he asserted.
Also, the Libya cost guards have handed the 600 migrants to the anti-illegal migration agency in Zawia city for interrogation, he underlined.
