Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, has stressed the importance of Arab parliaments' solidarity to activate joint parliamentary work and act in accordance to the constitutional powers to express aspirations of the Arab citizen, achieve Arab solidarity and maintain the security and stability of the Arab world.
She noted that the current Arab situation makes it imperative for the Arab parliaments, as representatives of the Arab people, to redouble their efforts through co-operation, co-ordination and effective dialogue to adopt programmes and strategies aimed at combating terrorism and extremism to achieve stability, development, and sustainability as well as build a future and a better tomorrow for the Arab people.
Dr. Al Qubaisi made these remarks at her arrival in Cairo, heading the UAE Parliamentary Division at the meetings of the 23rd Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, which will take place from 9th to 11th April, 2016.
The delegation was received at the airport by Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhahiri, the UAE Ambassador to Egypt.
