Bahraini Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim al-Mulla
Manama - BNA

Speaker of the Representatives Council Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla has extended sincere condolences to the Saudi people and the Arab and Islamic nations following the sad demise of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who passed away earlier this morning.
In a press statement today, Al Mulla said that the Arab and Islamic nations had lost a great leader who had always been a strong advocate of Gulf unity and Arab solidarity.
He pointed out that the late King Abdulla had contributed significantly to the progress boom currently enjoyed by Saudi Arabia and expansion of the Two Holy Mosques.
He lauded the late King’s stances in support of Bahrain and constant keenness to strengthen the outstanding long-standing fraternal Bahraini-Saudi relations in all situations, especially during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era.
Parliament Speaker also praised the pivotal role played by the late King in supporting Arab and Islamic causes at various regional and global gatherings.
He added that the late monarch had left a rich legacy laden with landmark achievements at the Arab and Islamic arenas, noting that he was a strong supporter of Arab and Islamic legislative councils and Arab and Islamic solidarity and played a crucial role in preserving the GCC march and cementing cooperation among its member states.
He said that the late King Abdulla honourable stances and efforts in the service of humanity will always be remembered by people across the world.
