Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation, Empower, the world’s largest district cooling services provider, is to participate in the fourth edition of World Green Economy Summit, WGES 2017, organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, set to be held on 24th and 25th October at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"We’re very excited to participate at the upcoming WGES. At Empower, we’re trying to raise the bar on building district cooling efficiency and our participation will not only help us to spur new ideas, but also shape the industry by presenting information on the benefits of district cooling technology," said Ahmad bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

Empower’s participation will focus on the advantages of district cooling solutions. The company will highlight its innovative solutions and unique business models and green building solutions, policies, plans and latest research findings on district cooling solutions.

"District cooling has gained a lot of momentum in the past few years. Our participation in the event will offer us an opportunity to encourage the public to adopt district cooling solutions and provide information on cutting-edge technology, projects and solutions that help in energy conservation. Events like WGES not only help to increase public awareness, but also set the agenda for public debate and positive action," added the CEO.

"We are committed to the district cooling sector globally through the adoption of initiatives by the United Nations Environment Programme, UNEP, and several other international organisations. We participate in major international energy events in order to review the latest technologies and techniques in the field of district cooling and have a close look at the industry’s expertise," he added.

Empower currently operates more than 1.25 million RT, providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World trade Centre Residences, Dubai Design District, among others.
