
King Mohammed VI of Morocco held a phone call with Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, in which he reiterated the good neighborliness and solidarity ties between the two countries.
The king stressed that Morocco recognizes Mauritania's territorial unity in line with international law standards.
The two sides expressed their keenness on maintaining their relations against any attempt to undermine them regardless of the source or motive, a statement issued by the Moroccan royal court said.
King Mohammed VI decided to delegate Prime Minister, Abdelilah Benkirane, and Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, to the Mauritanian president in order to clarify any misunderstanding that could negatively affect the excellent existing ties between the two countries.
