Registration for Kuwait's 2016 parliamentary election candidacy started early on Wednesday signaling a process due to end on October 28, pending upcoming legislative elections scheduled on November 26th.
According to a statement issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior, the registration is open in accordance with the law on parliamentary elections, which permits candidates to file their candidacies to contest elections, state news agency (KUNA) reported.
Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah ordered on Wednesday forming a special panel to examine nomination papers of the candidates vying for seats in the upcoming 50-member National Assembly (Parliament).
