
A UAE Parliamentary Group from the Federal National Council, FNC, will participate in the World Parliamentary Forum on Sustainable Development, which will be held in Bali, Indonesia, on 6th and 7th September.
The forum, where the UAE Parliamentary Group will be represented by Jamal Mohammed Al Hai, FNC Member, will discuss several issues related to climate change, sustainable development, other related issues and the overall goals of sustainable development, as well as the role of parliaments in realising these goals. The forum will also discuss international efforts and attempts to meet the demands of sustainable development in various countries and communities.
The participating UAE Parliamentary Group will present a report during the forum on strengthening sustainable development and achieving complete and fair development. It will also highlight the role of parliaments in strengthening sustainable development goals and the UAE’s efforts and achievements in sustainable development.
The UAE Parliamentary Group will present several suggestions related to their sustainable development plans and strategies and the stages that countries go through while highlighting their development priorities such as education and health. It will also discuss the real issues that hinder basic development and the current methods to guarantee its realisation.
