"We stand together today to remember our heroes with pride, and to express our undying gratitude to them. These heroes have become role models for courage and sacrifice."

"We look at this national occasion as an opportunity for us to reiterate our loyalty to our wise leadership, and to salute the sacrifices of our heroes. We stand united to express our immeasurable gratitude and respect to their mothers, fathers, and families who in order to uphold the country’s sovereignty and freedom," Al Awar added.

"Today, the UAE honours its sons who gave their lives for their country, and to stand up to injustice and bring peace. The UAE is blessed to have such wise leaders and brave heroes who will always be role models for sacrifice and loyalty," she concluded.
