Twenty-three members of Al Wafd Party have won parliament seats in the second phase of parliamentary elections, the party's Media Adviser Moataz Salah El Din said on Thursday based on semi-official results of the party's operations room.
The party members won 19 individual seats and four party-based list seats, he said.
The runoffs of the second round of parliamentary elections covered the 13 governorates of Cairo, Qalioubia, Daqahliya, Menoufiya, Gharbiya, Kafr el Sheikh, Sharqiya, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai.
Runoffs were held on Tuesday and Wednesday for Egyptians at home, and Monday and Tuesday for Egyptian expatriates.
Some 27.5 million voters were eligible to cast their votes in the second round, compared to 25.5 million in the first stage.
