We will not deal with a state that supports terrorism

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adel Bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, on Tuesday said that "there is no siege on Qatar", emphasising that no country will be accepted with its media supporting terrorism and terrorist operations.

"No country should tolerate terrorism. We will not deal with a state that supports it and interferes in the affairs of other countries," Al-Jubeir told a news conference at the Saudi Embassy's headquarters in London, reported the Saudi Press Agency, SPA.

The minister said that Saudi Arabia is ready to continue with the current status quo and will decide on any additional sanctions on Doha based on the circumstances.

Commenting on Yemen, Al Jubeir said that the Arab alliance's operations in Yemen are in accordance with international law, noting that "Sana'a airport can be reopened if the United Nations takes over."

On Iran, Al Jubeir described the Iranian Foreign Minister's statements about rapprochement with the Kingdom as "ridiculous", indicating that Iran must first change its policies, including its support of terrorism and interference with the affairs of other nations, if it seeks rapprochement and improvement of its relationship with Saudi.

He went on to say that the Kingdom does not see any seriousness by Tehran in dialogue and diplomatic cooperation. He said, "Iran is destabilising the region through Hezbollah and terrorist attacks," and referred to Al Qaeda leaders in Iran who have given orders to carry out attacks in the Kingdom, SPA added.
