Jamal Alkhodari
Gaza - Mohammed Habib
Jamal Alkhodari Independent candidate in the Legislative Council and Hamas's presidential candidate for the next government, Jamal Alkhodari, stressed that he will not be an obstacle in the way of completing the Palestinian reconciliation and the

formation of a new government.

Exclusively speaking to ArabsToday, Alkhodari pointed out that "the reconciliation is what will push towards solving the Palestinian case and making everyone aware of it on an international level." On Sunday, Alkhodari said that "any conflicts between Fatah and Hamas will be solved, and agreement on the next government will be reached, and all obstacles hindering government efforts will be overcome."
Alkhodari called on Fatah and Hamas to meet immediately and discuss the formation of the new government, and to overcome any obstacles in this matter, and finding consensus in all issues discussed under the Agreement that was signed in Cairo, as dialogue and reconciliation is the only way to success.
He added that "the Palestinian people long for the end of the division between the two parts of the country. It has brought a lot of suffering, in both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip."
He also called on the need to expedite the reconciliation process and not let issues with Abbas's choices for his cabinet stand in the way, as the Palestinian national project is much more important than any name.
Egyptian sources spoke of attempts to hold a meeting in Cairo between Fatah and Hamas in order to find a way out of the crisis, pending the formation of the transitional government under the Agreement of Reconciliation.
