
The Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General, Abdullatif Al-Zayani, yesterday expressed deep sorrow for the deaths and injuries of a number of worshipers in Al-Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah due to the collapse of a construction crane on Friday.
Al-Zayani extended condolences to the Saudi King and government, Muslim World and families of the victims of the tragedy. He lauded the remarkable performance of Saudi security, civil defence and healthcare bodies in dealing with the serious incident.
