
Maraya Art Centre, the innovative contemporary visual arts hub in Sharjah and an initiative by Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), welcomed MOBIPIXUAE's fundraising roadshow exhibition at its premises.
The charity photography exhibition featured 36 works of twelve members of MOBIPIXUAE, from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, South Africa, Nepal, Philippines and India grouped to participate with their photographs to be sold at Dh250 during the exhibition with proceeds in return to be given to 100 Cameras.
This U.A.E. based movement dedicated to promoting creative mobile photography, alongside the amazing contributions of the young talents of 100CAMERAS, a charity dedicated to empowering children creates tangible change in their communities by teaching them to capture their lives through photography.
The exhibition, which continues until the 31st of August 2014, also features photographs by children taking part in the 100CAMERAS programme from South Sudan, Cuba, and India. All prints of the children's photographs available for sale at affordable prices, with 100 per cent proceeds going to 100CAMERAS. These proceeds will in turn be given to the family of the young photographer, allowing them to contribute towards funding local lifeline, education, and healthcare needs.
