Dubai - Arabstoday
The Filipino Golfers in the Middle East (FIGME) recently celebrated the 113th anniversary of the proclamation of the Philippines\' independence. A strong field of 72 golfers battled for the coveted Independence Day crown at the Majlis course, playing off a ¾ individual stable ford handicap. His score card highlighted a number of gross birdies and pars which accumulated to a best gross score of 78. Shot of the day The shot of the day was executed by FIGME Chairman Ramon Navea (11 handicap) through nearest to the pin on hole seven with a six iron 166 yards (against the wind) where the ball just dropped eight inches off the cup ending in a birdie putt.
