Blood and Parcels

Crossing five generations from France to the U.S. Virgin Islands, T.Q. Bernier’s new fiction “Blood and Parcels” (published by Lulu), the first in a planned trilogy, is epic in its scope.
“‘Blood and Parcels’ may be best described as a suspenseful family drama,” Bernier says. “However, the venue of the tale is distinctly unique. The exotic beauty of the Caribbean Islands, where the story unfolds, is described in colorful, descriptive details.”
Set in 19th-century France, “Blood and Parcels” tells the story of the Dusant family, who are caught in the war brewing between Germany and France. This multigenerational story continues in the Caribbean Islands and culminates in the present. Though the years pass and the settings change, Bernier’s characters are united by their bond as a family and their sense of ancestral duty. Over the course of this novel, readers will witness the consequences of love, lust, loss, betrayal and murder.
