
Russia and Algeria have signed several deals on the sidelines of Russian-Algerian businessmen forum hosted by Moscow.
Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said Wednesday that Algeria could cooperate with Russian energy giant Gazprom on the extraction of shale gas, Algerian, Sputnik news agency reported Wednesday.
"Gazprom has certain plans for cooperation with us. We are considering shale gas development. Algeria is the second or third country when it comes to shale gas volumes, and we can really find a way to cooperate in this field," Sellal said at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.
Algeria and Russia could cooperate in the field of shale gas extraction, Sellal told his counterpart Medvedev.
Also, Sputnik news agency and radio has signed an agreement with a leading Algerian media outlet, Algeria Press Service (APS)
