The Chief of Benghazi Security Department, Salah Huwaidi, survived late Wednesday what appeared as an assassination attempt.
A parked car exploded when Huwaidi's car passed on the Sidi Faraj-Huwari district road in Benghazi, Libya Observer said.
Col. Huwaidi has been reportedly hospitalized in Benghazi after he escaped the explosion.
