10 Iraqis killed in series of explosions in Baghdad

Ten people were killed, including an officer and other policemen, and 47 others wounded in a series of explosions, by car-bombs, IEDs, and mortars, that took place in the Iraqi capital on Thursday, Iraqi security sources said.
A car-bomb exploded in New Baghdad at Mohammad Al-Qasim highway road, killing two policemen and injuring six others, a security source at Baghdad Operations Command told KUNA.
Another car-bomb exploded near the area's post office, killing one officer and injuring four policemen, six civilians, and damaging one police car and two civilian cars, the source said.
Other car-bomb explosion took place near a police patrol at central Baghdad, killing one policeman and wounding four others, the source said, adding that five civilians were injured due to a blast at Sadr city in east Baghdad.
Meanwhile, three IEDs went off simultaneously at Falah Street in Sadr city, wounding five civilians as a result, an Iraqi police source stated to KUNA, adding that an hour later; another IED went off in a popular market at Sadr city, killing three people and wounding 12 others.
