Iraqi forces and the US-led alliance killed Saturday 33 members of Daesh terrorist group during military operations in the western province of Anbar.
The US-led alliance killed 18 members of Daesh militants, who were on their way to besiege the town of Haditha, which is about 150 miles northwest of Baghdad, local and security sources said.
The joint Iraqi forces also killed 15 Daesh members in the west of Fallujah, added the sources.
Clashes between Iraqi forces and the militant group have been going on since June 2014 when the armed group seized control of Mosul and other territories in Iraq.
