
Two civilians were killed and seven others injured in Bob al-Sham area north-east of Baghdad in a roadside bomb explosion.
A security source said on Saturday that the nine were accidentally passing when the bomb was detonated.
Baghdad has been witnessing over the past period explosions and suicide bombings carried out by Daesh terrorists with an aim to destabilize the Iraqi capital which houses about seven million residents.
The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) has said that Baghdad recorded the highest number of victims in violence and terror attacks in Iraq.
The source noted that Iraqi police forces have foiled an armed attack by Daesh in the western Iraqi province of Anbar, killing seven suicide bombers.
The forces also seized an RPG alongside guns and defused 12 explosive devices, the source added.
