
Anti-terror troops in Iraq stormed on Thursday several districts in Mosul, the capital of Nineveh, killing 25 Daesh terrorists.
Also, eight armed vehicles used by Daesh militants were destroyed in the military operation.
A military spokesman said Iraqi troops destroyed the defense line of Daesh terrorist group in al Quds district.
Earlier in the day, Iraqi security forces launched the second phase of a military operation to liberate Mosul from Daesh terrorist group.
The first phase of “We Are Coming, Nineveh” operation came to an end on December 15 after liberating 40 districts out of 56 on the left bank in eastern Mosul.
