
Unidentified attackers blew up a water project and a power plant by improvised explosive devices southwest of Kirkuk, in northern Iraq.
Iraqi police said unidentified assailants exploded improvised explosive devices in the vicinity of a water and electricity station in the Al-Mahouz village in Al-Hawija area, 0.55 km southwest of Kirkuk, causing material damage to the water project and the station.
Meanwhile, Commander of the Iraqi Army Air Force Hamid Al-Maliki said more than 12 thousand sorties were carried out since the start of military operations in the province of Anbar, west of the country.
