Sixteen members of the Syrian army were killed in eastern Damascus, the armed Syrian opposition factions said Tuesday.
They were killed in fierce clashes in eastern Damascus, the factions said, adding that scores of the army members were injured as well.
Earlier, the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights announced that 28 civilians were killed in intensified raids launched by the Syrian jets in three villages in Ghouta near Damascus.
