The Bahrain Tourism & Exhibition Authority’s (BTEA) said it has wrapped up its participation with great success in the World Travel Market (WTM) concluded yesterday in ExCeL London.

12 companies were represented at Bahrain Tourism & Exhibition Authority’s (BTEA) show stand, Gulf Air, destination management companies and a host of Bahrain’s leading hotels and resorts.

BTEA held 19 meetings with members of the travel trade and media, including meetings with key travel partners such as Expedia, Southall Travel, Thomas Cook, Lastminute.com and Emerald.

BTEA also conducted interviews with TTG, the official media partner of WTM, and other key publications, including Selling Travel, ABTA, National Geographic and Al-Arabiya amongst others. 

Visitors to BTEA pavilion were able to try their driving skills on the Bahrain International Circuit Formula 1 simulator, and fuel their wanderlust through the many inspiring images on display throughout the stand – part of the new Bahrain. Ours. Yours brand launched by BTEA at the show. 

BTEA CEO Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa said the BTEA stand provided a great opportunity for Bahraini companies operating in the travel and tourism sector to establish trade links with their UK counterparts, and to discover the latest tourism trends in the world. 

50,000 delegates had attended the three-day show, generating more than ?2.5 billion in travel and tourism industry deals.
