Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received here today the US Secretary of the Navy Richard V. Spencer.
Inspector General, Interior Ministry's Undersecretary, Deputy Chief of Public Security, US Ambassador and Commander of the US Navy in Central Command, commander of the Fifth Fleet attended the meeting.
The Interior Minister welcomed the US official and highlighted that the visit was part of exchanging of views and reinforcement of cooperation ties between Bahrain and the US, hailing the deep and strong strategic relations between the two friendly countries.
He briefed the guest about the efforts of the Interior Ministry to develop all security sectors as part of ongoing operations to protect national security.
The meeting reviewed bilateral ties, cooperation and topics of common interests.
Commander of the Coast Guard was also present.
