Interreligious conference kicks off

An international conference addressing freedom, citizenship, integration and social and cultural diversity will kick off here on Tuesday under the sponsorship of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The conference, organized by Al Azhar and the Muslim Council of Elders, will issue Al Azhar Declaration for Muslim-Christian Coexistence".
The declaration will advocate the concepts of freedom, citizenship and coexistence.
Grand Sheikh of Al Azhar Ahmed El Tayyeb, Pope Tawadros II in addition to a large number of religious and academic figures will take part in the two-day event.
