Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy attended on Tuesday the inaugural session of the 8th international scientific conference organized by the Military Technical College with the participation of 96 scientific bodies from universities and research centers representing 25 Arab and foreign countries.
The three-day conference is part of the Armed Forces' interest in scientific, military and human researches.
The college director, Mostafa Abdel Wahab, expressed the Armed Forces keenness on providing all potentials for scientific research to continue efforts of development.
The conference includes 52 scientific sessions in the fields of electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural and chemical engineering.
Some 458 researchers will discuss more than 212 papers and 20 workshops will be organized on means to make use of solar energy and other new and renewable energies, as well as the most up-to-date technology in the fields of water desalination and subterranean waters, as well as information technology and military engineering.
