Iran asked UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to convince the United States to release dlrs 2bn in frozen Iranian assets at US banks.
Russia Today quoted Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani as saying the US has to meet its obligations under the July 2015 nuclear deal after failing to honor them by keeping Tehran locked out of the international financial system.
"If they don't fulfill their commitments, we will force them into implementation with our own means," Larijani said.
Iran has its "own means to make them regret", Larijani added.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Javid Zarif said that the US court decision will have "catastrophic implications" and "will cause systematic erosion" of the principle of State immunity.
"I wish to call on Your Excellency to lend your good offices in order to induce the US Government to adhere to its international obligations, put an end to the violation of the fundamental principle of state immunity," Zarif said in a letter that was issued by the Iranian diplomatic mission to the UN.
