
German Chancellor Angela Merkel invited Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Fayez Sarraj to visit Germany during a phone call.
Media Office of the Libyan Presidential Council on its official website said Sarraj thanked the German chancellor on the visit of German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Tripoli and Germany's keenness on backing Libya.
Merkel also congratulated the Libyan official on the efforts exerted by the presidential council to render successful the national reconciliation in Tripoli.
The German chancellor also voiced happiness over the stable conditions in Tripoli in view of the image conveyed to her by the German top diplomat.
