
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke a short time ago on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post reported Thursday.
According to the Prime Minister's office, Putin accepted Netanyahu's urgent request for assistance in putting out multiple fires that have been raging in Israel since Wednesday. Putin said that Russia would immediately send two planes.
