The Department of Economic Development, DED, in Abu Dhabi has honoured 40 students enrolled in the Summer Training Programme in its various sectors, departments, centres and offices.
The programme was aimed to equip the students with the skills and experiences that would help them excel in life and learn more about the work environment by practicing the various job and career patterns.
Ghanem Mohammed Al Fandi Al Mazrou’I, CEO of the Support Services Sector at the DED, emphasised that the training programme organised annually by the Finance Department in Abu Dhabi, helps high school and college students fill their spare time with useful activities and instills in them the sense of social responsibility.
Amal Ma’youf, Acting Director of Human Resources at the DED, said that the training programme introduced the trainees to another programme titled "Part of Us" which the DED uses to introduce the concerned employees to its tasks and responsibilities. This programme offers a complete breakdown of all the sectors, departments and centres that are part of the DED.
The trainees also participated in a course titled "Seven Habits of the Most Successful People", a course on recycling, and a course titled "How to save your Time and Money".
