The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, today offered urgent rescue aid to families in need in Joul Al Zuqaiq, in the slum area of Fowa in Al Mukalla Directorate, Hadramaut, as part of the UAE’s continued support to the people of Yemen.
The ERC provided this latest supply of aid as a response to urgent calls from the people of the area, which currently lacks the most basic of services. The ERC’s field team visited the area to understand its people’s needs, and distributed rescue aid to hundreds of residents suffering from a shortage of clean drinking water.
Ahmed Al Neyadi, Deputy Head of the ERC Team in Hadramaut, stated that distributing the rescue aid can help answer the needs of local people and stabilise the lives of poor families. He also highlighted the desire of the ERC to continue executing its projects and providing rescue aid to all families in need in the various directorates of Hadramaut, representing its spirit of solidarity with the local people.
The locals expressed their appreciation to the UAE’s leadership, government and people for continuing to offer timely humanitarian and rescue aid, due to the deteriorating economic conditions in their country.
