Founding leader had pledged, honoured, planted, and harvested for his nation

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, expressed his pride and honour at the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to declare 2018 as the 'Year of Zayed', a year of loyalty to the late Sheikh Zayed’s goodness, humanitarianism and giving and to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the founding leader, who had pledged, honoured, planted and harvested for his nation, and created an immortal national history and humanitarian civilisation.

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid said that Sheikh Zayed’s talents in leadership and nationhood will be realised through the rise of a modern country that seeks prosperity for the whole of humanity and is strengthened by the arms of its children, who assumed their responsibilities to strengthen the nation’s development and protect its gains, until their country, which is inseparable from the name of its late leader and founder, has become a living example of national endeavour and future foresight, and has deserved the appreciation of the entire world.

Sheikh Saud added that the new generation of givers, whose seeds were planted by the loyal Sheikh Zayed, are the fruits of a courageous leader and father, who have sworn an oath of loyalty and allegiance to honour his leadership, and take pride in his accomplishments and giving in all areas.

"Today, we remember the sacrifice of loyal men to be inspired by his spirit of patriotism and determination, to face our challenges and continue his journey of goodness and giving," His Highness concluded.
