
Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa visited the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science. He was received by Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan.
He expressed thanks and appreciation to the department’s personnel for their sincere round the clock efforts and dedication to fight crime and protect national security.
He hailed the successful and extinguished security performance and the active coordination in the operation of foiling the trafficking of fugitives via the sea on February 9. He said that this successful security work was result of joint work and coordination between security authorities.
The minister highlighted the importance of physical evidence and forensic lab in solving cases, as well the ongoing work to face security challenges for secure and stable society.
The General Director of Criminal Investigation and Forensic delivered a speech, in which he hailed the support of the Interior Minister for security protection efforts, highlighting that the remarkable success of security authorities were part of his directives that made policemen a role model of giving and sacrifices.
The minister conferred on a number of staff of the department and General Directorate of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security the first-class medal for excellence in security work, first-class medal for excellent services and the second-class medal for distinguished work.
