Libyan Parliament Speaker Aqila Saleh on Friday thanked the UAE for sending food aid and medicine to his country, highlighting continued cooperation between the two countries.
In a statement, Media Adviser to the Libyan Parliament Speaker Fathi Maryami said the UAE food and medical aid to the Libyan people comes after a visit by Aqila to the UAE.
The Red Crescent will distribute foodstuffs to the low-income brackets and medicine to hospitals and clinics, he added.
Large quantities of foodstuffs and medicine offered by the UAE have arrived early Friday at Tobruk Airport.
