The overall toll of pilgrims arrived to perform Hajj of the Hijri year 1438 (2017) from abroad, through air, land and sea ports since the beginning of arrival until 24th August stood at 1,497,095 pilgrims, an increase of 367,095 pilgrims compared to the number of arrivals in the same period last year, or about 32 percent, according to statistics issued by the Directorate General of Passports (DGP).
DGP added that the number of pilgrims arriving by air stood at 1,400,670 pilgrims, coming by land roads at 83,056 pilgrims and those arrived by the sea was 13,369 pilgrims.
