President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, informed Zahle MPs Toni Abou Khater, Joseph Maalouf, Assem Araji and Chant Chinchinian that the security forces are mobilized and are still prosecuting the kidnappers of Saad Richa.
"The state will not allow anybody to undermine stability and security, which is a gift for the inhabitants of the Beqaa and all the Lebanese people," he said.
Aoun added that such incidents, whose ends are well known, have no influence on the fraternal relations amongst the inhabitants of the region, but will strengthen relations amongst them.
Zahle MPs conveyed to the President the concern of Beqaa inhabitants, in particularly Zahle inhabitants, "for the recurrence of kidnappings in return for a ransom."
MP Abou Khater said at the end of the meeting that the Head of State has a great concern in this issue. "He personally follows up on the kidnapping from the beginning and cooperates with security chiefs in order to settle this chronic dilemma."
He wished that a preventive and serious security plan will be developed and implemented against terrorists and outlaws.
