Syrian army announced on Friday that the agreed ceasefire will be in effect as of Saturday 1 a.m. in several parts of the country.
The ceasefire will be in eastern Ghouta and Damascus for 24 hours and Latakia countryside for 72 hours, reported the Syrian news agency SANA, quoting a statement by the army's general command.
The ceasefire aims at preventing terrorist groups from spreading instability and tension in Syria.
