We will remain committed to Zayed's philanthropy, wisdom

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President's Representative, has expressed sincere appreciation of the directives made by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to set 2018 as the "Year of Zayed".

In a word marking the occasion, H.H. Sheikh Sultan said, "It is not strange to find this sense of loyalty displayed by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, his brothers, the rulers of the emirates, and by the UAE people as a whole, to a man whose acts of wisdom and philanthropic work are widespread across the entire globe. Memories of Late Sheikh Zayed are and will remain indelible in our hearts as his noble legacy will continue to remain alive in every detail in our life. His contributions are too colossal to be numerated and the material and spiritual legacy he left behind are too precious for evaluation."

H.H. Sheikh Sultan added, "Each one of the Emirati people cherishes part of the late founding father's traits, including love of charity, righteousness, benevolence and courage. Setting a year for commemorating his birth is a symbol that embodies the feelings of love and gratitude we all cherish for a man who made history in his own homeland and in the entire world- a man who challenged difficulties and left no stone unturned to serve his homeland and his countrymen, a man whose noble acts have earned him the epithet of the Wiseman of all Arabs."
