An explosive charge, implanted by unknown elements near the family house of a Palestinian politician in Gaza city, went off on Friday morning with no injuries reported.
A statement by the Palestinian Al-Sabireen (the Patient Ones) Movement said the explosion that targeted the house of Hesham Salem, the movement's secretary-general, only caused material damage with no injuries reported.
Such incidents would never weaken the stamina of the resistance movement in the face of Israeli occupation, the statement reaffirmed, accusing Israeli authorities of perpetrating the attack.
The movement called on security apparatuses in Gaza to open an urgent investigation into the attack.
Salem, also the founder of Al-Sabireen Movement, is a former Islamic Jihad Movement member. Local Palestinian media had accused the movement of adopting a Shiite trend and receiving financial support from Iran.
