Five Turkish policemen were killed and four others wounded as a result of a bombing carried out by elements of the PKK party as they detonated a car bomb while an armored police vehicle was traveling in the state of Bingol, east of the country.
"The vehicle was camouflaged on the roadside with a Turkish flag on its back and detonated when the police bus passed by," Anadolu Agency quoted Bingol's governor, Yavuz Selim Kosger, as saying.
He pointed out that the police is continuing its security operations in the region to arrest the elements that carried out the attack.
